Lost at Sea

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"A blue marlin belongs to the vastness of the open ocean, yet here it finds itself somewhere unexpected.

Lost at Sea explores that contradiction. Surrounded by the color and abundance of the reef, this powerful open-water predator suddenly appears almost out of place. Is it lost, following prey, or simply passing through?

I wanted the beauty of the scene to draw you in first and the question to come later. Because even in the ocean, being surrounded by life does not necessarily mean you are where you belong."
