Goliath

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"Some creatures command attention simply by being there.

In Goliath, the massive grouper emerges from the structure almost as though it owns this small part of the ocean. Its size can be intimidating, but there is also something ancient and almost stoic about it.

I wanted the surrounding structure and smaller fish to emphasize its scale while giving the viewer the feeling of unexpectedly encountering one in its own world.

Goliath is about presence—the quiet power of a creature that doesn't need to chase the viewer or perform for us. It simply belongs there."
